An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Kitchen Assistant to work within the kitchen at St David’s Primary School in Exeter.

We are looking for a talented individual, who is able to collect and serve hot and cold food from the Ventrus production kitchen at Woodwater Academy, Exeter EX2 5AW. Approximate daily mileage is 6.28 miles.

Duties will include the collection and serving of hot and cold food from the Ventrus production kitchen and the subsequent return of the clean empty food containers to the production kitchen, along with maintaining a hygienic kitchen. Alongside this you will be promoting the service to attract the maximum number of children and positively encouraging healthy food choices. You should have knowledge and experience as a Kitchen Assistant along with experience of working in a catering environment, with a professional approach.

The post of Kitchen Assistant is a part-time, permanent position working 15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year as of 7th June 2021. These hours will be worked Monday to Friday 10.30am – 1.30pm.

Please note: There is a contractual requirement for the successful candidate who is a designated ‘essential user’ to have their own vehicle at their disposal throughout the working day, this will be on a daily basis. As such, this position attracts a driving allowance of £453 per annum.
